Description
The Body-Solid Endurance CL300 vertical climber is for anyone who wants to train their whole body in one movement at home or in a small training space. The machine mimics the natural climbing motion: your arms and legs work together, giving you a solid full-body cardio workout with low impact. With 16 magnetic resistance levels and 15 programmes, the climber grows with you from your first try to a tough interval session.
Body-Solid Endurance CL300 vertical climber at a glance
- Natural climbing motion: arms and legs move together, so you train your upper and lower body at the same time in one fluid movement.
- Low impact: the climbing motion is low-impact, so you can do intense cardio without running or jumping.
- 16 magnetic resistance levels: from an easy warm-up to heavy climbing, so your training keeps pace with your fitness.
- Smart knob: you change settings without stopping, so your rhythm stays intact.
- 15 programmes: from Quick Start and goal programmes to interval training and a heart rate controlled programme.
- Compact footprint: the climber takes up little floor space and 2 transport wheels make it easier to move.
Full-body cardio with a climbing motion
A vertical climber works differently from a treadmill or cross trainer. You move vertically, as if climbing a ladder or rock face, using both your legs and your arms. As a result, even a short session feels like a complete workout. The CL300 is made for light commercial and home use, so it fits in a home gym, a studio or a personal training room. Think of a solid session before work, or a short block of intervals when you are pressed for time.
Resistance and programmes
You set the magnetic resistance across 16 levels. On the low levels you get to know the movement gently, on the high levels you make every climbing stroke heavier. The 15 programmes give your training structure: Quick Start to begin straight away, countdown programmes for time, distance or calories, 4 interval programmes, 5 preset workouts, 1 custom programme and 1 heart rate controlled programme. That way you can alternate between an easy endurance session and short, intense blocks.
Display and controls
The LED display shows time, distance, calories, watts, speed, step height, heart rate and level. So you see not only how long you have been going, but also how hard you are working and how big your climbing motion is. With the smart knob you change settings while climbing, without stepping off or losing your pace. For heart rate training you pair a chest strap, which is available separately.
Grip, comfort and placement
You choose from 3 grip positions, so you can vary the movement and find a position that feels comfortable. The padded side rails give extra support when getting on and off. The footprint is compact, but at 223.5 cm the machine is tall. The climber runs on mains power via an adapter, so place it near a power socket.
Good to know
Check your ceiling height in advance: the machine itself is 223.5 cm tall and you move upwards while climbing. This makes the CL300 less suitable for a room with a low ceiling. If you want to train by heart rate, allow for a separate chest strap.
Frequently asked questions about the Body-Solid Endurance CL300 vertical climber
How much space do I need for the Body-Solid Endurance CL300 vertical climber?
The climber measures 116.8 x 117.7 cm at the base and is 223.5 cm tall. So the footprint is compact, but the height needs attention. Measure your ceiling beforehand, because you also move upwards yourself while climbing. Also leave some free space around the machine to get on and off safely.
Is a vertical climber suitable for beginners?
Yes, with 16 resistance levels you can start on a low level and learn the movement gently. The climbing motion is natural, but feels intense at first because your arms and legs work at the same time. So start with short sessions and build up the level step by step. More experienced users get more out of the higher levels and the interval programmes.
Does the CL300 need a power socket?
Yes, the CL300 runs on mains power via an adapter. Without power, the display and programmes do not work. So place the climber within reach of a power socket. With the 2 transport wheels you can shift it a little where needed.
Can I train by heart rate on the CL300?
Yes, the CL300 has a heart rate controlled programme and shows your heart rate on the display. You measure your heart rate with a chest strap, which is available separately. This lets you train in a zone that suits your goal, for example an easy endurance session. Without a chest strap, you can still use all the other programmes.
What is the difference between a vertical climber and a stepper?
On a vertical climber you move your arms and legs together in a climbing motion, on a stepper you work mainly with your legs. That means the climber trains your whole body in one movement. A stepper is often lower and needs less ceiling height. If you are looking for full-body cardio with low impact, the climber is the better match.
