Motor and speed

Check the motor power and maximum speed of the model. For walking and light jogging a DC motor suffices. For intensive running and professional use an AC motor is more robust and better able to withstand prolonged loading and speed changes.

Maximum user load

Always choose a model with a maximum user load well above your own bodyweight. An overloaded treadmill wears out faster and performs less well.
