Description

The Hammer Loxon XTR BT is a home cross-trainer that offers a smooth and quiet workout, allowing you to work on your fitness at any level. A 20 kg flywheel, an induction brake and NanoGlide technology combine to ensure a smooth, shock-free stride, whether you’re warming up gently or doing a vigorous interval session. From your first few weeks of training to targeted cardio and fat-burning sessions: this cross-trainer adapts to your pace.

Hammer Loxon XTR BT at a glance

  • 20 kg flywheel: the high flywheel mass, combined with NanoGlide technology, delivers a smooth, shock-free stride, so every step feels fluid.
  • 40-level induction brake: the computer-controlled resistance adjusts precisely across 40 settings, from gentle recovery to a strenuous climb.
  • Watt-controlled training (20 to 400 watts): you train at a fixed power output and see your wattage in real time, which is useful for targeted and measurable training.
  • Adjustable footplates: you can adjust the foot position to suit your preference, which, together with the 40 cm stride length and the narrow 16 cm Q-factor, provides a natural stride.
  • Heart rate monitoring: hand sensors in the handlebars and a heart rate traffic light on the display keep you in the right intensity zone; you can pair a 5 kHz chest strap.
  • Apps and programmes: 16 programmes, 4 heart rate programmes and 4 user profiles, plus Kinomap, Zwift and Hammer Workouts via Bluetooth.
  • Sturdy up to 150 kg: the steel frame is suitable for users weighing up to 150 kg and falls into the heaviest home-use class, HA.
  • Easy to move: with the integrated transport wheels, you can easily roll the cross-trainer out of the way.

Smooth, quiet operation thanks to the heavy flywheel

At the heart of the Loxon XTR BT is the 20 kg flywheel. This mass keeps the movement steady, ensuring you keep moving without any jerks or jolts. NanoGlide technology, precision-tuned hinges and high-quality bearings make the movement even smoother and quieter. Handy if you’re training early in the morning or late at night, without waking the whole house. The freewheel also ensures that the pedals continue to turn naturally.

Resistance and wattage control for targeted training

The resistance is controlled via a computer-controlled induction brake across 40 levels, ranging from a light warm-up to a strenuous endurance workout. If you want to train with measurable results, you can set a fixed power output between 20 and 400 watts: the cross-trainer maintains that wattage, regardless of your pace. The display shows your wattage, speed, distance, revolutions per minute (RPM), resistance level, time and heart rate at all times. This allows you to tailor your workout and see your progress in black and white.

Ergonomics that are gentle on your joints

Thanks to the adjustable footplates, you’ll quickly find your ideal foot position. Combined with the comfortable stride length of 40 cm and the narrow Q-factor of just 16 cm, this creates a natural movement pattern: your feet are close together, just like when walking. This supports a smooth, controlled stride and is gentle on your joints, making the Loxon XTR BT ideal for longer, gentle cardio sessions. The stride height is 33 cm.

Heart rate control via the traffic light on the display

The LCD display with black backlighting shows all key metrics clearly. The heart rate traffic light is particularly handy: at a glance, you can see whether you’re training within your desired heart rate zone or need to slow down. You measure your heart rate via the hand sensors in the handlebars, and for a more accurate reading, you can pair a chest strap with a 5 kHz transmitter. Four heart rate-controlled programmes help you stay within a set upper limit.

Programmes, apps and entertainment

As standard, you can choose from 16 training programmes and 4 heart rate programmes, and you can save your own settings in 4 user profiles. You can connect the cross-trainer to Kinomap and Zwift via Bluetooth, allowing you to ride real-world video routes or train live with others. With the free Hammer Workouts, you can follow guided sessions lasting from 10 to 50 minutes, without the need for an additional subscription. A tablet holder and USB port complete the package.

Stable, sturdy and easy to set up

The steel frame is built for stability and is suitable for users weighing up to 150 kg; the cross-trainer falls into class HA, the heaviest category for home use according to DIN EN ISO 20957. When assembled, the machine measures 148 x 58 x 158 cm, so make sure you have a clear corner of your room with sufficient headroom and space around it. Thanks to the transport wheels, you can then easily roll the machine to one side. The machine weighs 66 kg and runs on mains power (230V).

Good to know

The Loxon XTR BT is a fixed cross-trainer and cannot be folded away; it therefore remains where you place it, but the castors make it easy to move around. A mains socket is required for the display and resistance. The cross-trainer is delivered to your doorstep and you assemble it yourself at home using the included manual and tools. Hammer offers a 24-month manufacturer’s warranty and a 10-year warranty on the frame.

Frequently asked questions about the Hammer Loxon XTR BT

Which muscles do you work out with the Loxon XTR BT?

With an elliptical trainer, you work out your whole body in a fluid motion. Your legs and glutes do most of the work through the pedalling motion, whilst the moving arm bars engage your chest, back, shoulders and arms. Your core is constantly engaged to keep you stable. Because you use both your lower and upper body, it’s an efficient form of cardio training.

Is the Loxon XTR BT suitable for weight loss?

Yes, an elliptical trainer is a suitable choice if you want to lose weight. You burn calories during endurance training, and with the 40 resistance levels and wattage control, you can gradually build up the intensity or turn it into a challenging interval workout. The heart rate traffic light helps you stay in the right zone for your training goal. How much weight you lose depends on your effort, your diet and how often you train.

Which is better: an elliptical trainer or a treadmill?

That depends on what you’re looking for. An elliptical trainer allows you to exercise without taking your feet off the pedals, making the movement smooth and low-impact, and putting less strain on your joints than running on a treadmill. You also work out your upper and lower body at the same time. A treadmill, on the other hand, is more similar to running and walking. If you’re looking for a steady, joint-friendly cardio workout for your whole body, the Loxon XTR BT is a logical choice.

Is the Loxon XTR BT foldable?

No, the Loxon XTR BT is a fixed-frame cross-trainer and cannot be folded away. When assembled, it measures 148 x 58 x 158 cm, so you’ll need to set aside a permanent space for it with some free space around it. However, it does have transport wheels, allowing you to move the machine easily and push it to one side after your workout. This keeps your workout space flexible, even though the frame doesn’t fold up.

What is the maximum user weight for this cross-trainer?

The Loxon XTR BT is suitable for users weighing up to 150 kg. The machine is classified as class HA according to DIN EN ISO 20957 – the highest load class for home use – thanks to its sturdy steel frame. As long as you stay within the maximum user weight, you can train safely and stably. Place the cross-trainer on a level surface to ensure it stands firmly.

Do I need a subscription for the training apps?

You don’t need an additional subscription for the Hammer Workouts; you can use these guided sessions for free on your smartphone, tablet or laptop. Kinomap and Zwift are apps from other providers and operate on their own subscription models, some of which are paid, which you sign up for separately. The cross-trainer connects to these apps via Bluetooth, and a tablet holder and USB port are provided. This way, you can decide for yourself how many extra features and entertainment options you want to add.
