The new IC4 model (2022)

Life Fitness launched its new IC4 model in early 2022. Compared to the old model, there have been several improvements and changes.

The flywheel of the new IC4 is now entirely luxurious black, whereas the flywheel of the old model was silver. The new look and feel has undergone a great makeover. In addition, the logo on the side of the spinning bike has also been changed to better match the bike. The best change has been made to the resistance adjustment. Previously, you had to adjust the resistance with a small lever. Now the bike is equipped with a handy dial. This makes it much easier and more precise to set the resistance.

What training goals can you use this spinning bike for?

With a spinning bike, you mainly work on improving your cardio, with the focus on training your lower body and, to a lesser extent, your upper body. The muscles you train include your quadriceps, glutes, hamstrings, and calves. But did you know that you also train your back and abdominal muscles? An advanced and ergonomically shaped handlebar

The multi-grip handlebar of the IC4 spinning bikes is specially shaped for optimal posture during your workouts. The well-thought-out handlebar design allows you to always complete your workouts comfortably, whether it's a gentle, longer workout or short and intensive standing sessions.

The handlebars are wrapped in high-quality, soft PVC for an extra comfortable workout. It also provides more support if you want to cycle in a more active position. This prevents strain on your forearms and elbows.

There is also a position for time trials and a wide surface for the "ride easy" position (centrally on the handlebars). The display is fully integrated into the handlebars, completely cable-free, so that it is in line with the sleek design of the handlebars and the rest of the spinning bike.

Are you training, but is your workout too light or too heavy? Then easily adjust the resistance and choose a resistance between 0 and 100. You can always find the current resistance level on your display.

Poly-V drive belt

The specially developed Poly-V drive belt is an incredibly strong belt that can withstand even the most extreme forces, e.g. from the most fanatical athletes. The transmission ratio is 1:10, which delivers an incredible transmission ratio with a flywheel that produces high-quality results.

The use of a V-belt reduces maintenance costs. This saves you money, but also benefits you if you run a (sports) business such as a gym. Another example is that they reduce malfunctions to zero (compared to other similar bikes) and make a lot less noise than regular spinning bikes.

Stay hydrated with the double water bottle holders

It is important to stay well hydrated during both long and short workouts. The double water bottle holders allow you to store two water bottles so that you always have enough water or sports drink at hand. Going for a shorter workout? Then one water bottle will often be enough. Going for a long or intensive workout? Then you can easily store two water bottles. This means you don't have to interrupt your workouts, so you can keep training without interruption. It is important to stay well hydrated during both short and longer workouts.
