Description

With the Toorx Professional Avant PLX-B7900 adductor abductor machine you train the inside and the outside of your upper legs in one place. The force arm rotates forwards and backwards across eight settings, so you load both your adductors and your abductors on the same machine without rebuilding anything or moving to another station.

That makes this machine interesting for gyms, personal training studios and well equipped home gyms that want a full leg machine without installing two separate stations. It belongs to the Avant line of Toorx Professional and is built for daily use, with a steel frame weighing 206 kg and certification to EN 20957-1 and EN 957-2 class S.

Toorx Avant PLX-B7900 at a glance

  • Two exercises, one machine: the force arm rotates forwards and backwards, so you perform adduction and abduction on the same unit and save floor space.
  • Force arm with 8 settings: you match the starting position to your height and range of motion, so you never train in a position that does not suit you.
  • 80 kg weight stack: moving the pin is all it takes to go heavier or lighter, with a 5 kg starting weight for a gradual build-up.
  • Converging leverage system: the movement follows the natural path of your legs, which keeps the load focused on the target muscles.
  • High-density foam with PU covering: the pads and the full backrest keep you sitting upright and stable through a heavy set.
  • Cables rated up to 1500 kg: 5.8 mm steel cables and POM pulleys with premium bearings deliver smooth, even resistance without jolts.
  • Max. user weight 160 kg: combined with class S certification, the machine suits intensive daily use by changing users.

Adductors and abductors on one machine

Most gyms install two separate machines for the inside and the outside of the upper leg. The PLX-B7900 combines both functions: you turn the force arm around and train the other muscle group in the same set-up. For you as a user that means a quick switch within your leg session, and for the room it means only one machine on the floor. Useful when you want to offer a complete leg programme without filling the whole gym floor.

Resistance and adjustment

The 80 kg weight stack starts at 5 kg, which makes the machine usable for someone who is just starting with focused leg work and for an advanced user who wants to train heavy. Because you change the resistance with a pin, switching between sets costs almost no time: you move straight on into a superset or a circuit. The force arm itself adjusts across eight levels, so you match the starting position and the range of the movement to your hip width and to your mobility on the day.

Frame and finish for daily use

The frame is made from oval, flat heavy-duty steel tubes and weighs 206 kg in total. That weight does its job: the machine stays where you put it, even when you push hard at the end of a set. The tubes are sandblasted and phosphated and then given a double heavy-duty powder coating, which makes the finish stand up to daily loading in a busy training room. The EN 20957-1 and EN 957-2 class S classification confirms that the machine is intended for professional use.

Cables, pulleys and feel

The steel cables have a diameter of 5.8 mm and are rated for loads up to 1500 kg, well above what the weight stack asks of them. They run over POM pulleys with premium bearings. In practice you notice that mainly in the feel: the resistance builds evenly and returns under control, without a jolt or a dead spot halfway through. That lets you slow down the eccentric phase, which in adduction and abduction work is exactly where the value sits.

Seating position and comfort

The pads use high-density foam with a PU covering and the machine has a full backrest. Your back is supported and your pelvis stays fixed, so the movement comes from your hips and your upper body does not sway along. That keeps your form clean, also at higher weights and at the end of a long training day.

Good to know

This is a professional machine that needs a fixed spot: allow for roughly 72 x 163 x 162 cm plus some walking space around it, and for 206 kg that you will not shift casually. Choose a final position on the floor in advance. The machine targets one specific muscle group; if you are still at the start of setting up your strength area, a more broadly usable station is usually the more logical first purchase.

Frequently asked questions about the Toorx Avant PLX-B7900

Does it train both adductors and abductors?

Yes, that is exactly what this machine is made for. The force arm rotates forwards and backwards, so you set the machine up for adduction (legs moving inwards) or abduction (legs moving outwards). You do not need to dismantle or swap anything: you move the arm and carry on. In a leg session you can run both movements back to back.

How much space do I need?

The machine measures 72 x 163 x 162 cm (l x w x h). Also allow room to get on and off and to adjust the force arm, so in practice count on roughly half a metre extra at the sides. The packaging is 80 x 120 x 125 cm, which matters for the route inside: measure your doors, hallways and any stairs in advance.

How heavy can I train on this machine?

The weight stack is 80 kg and starts at 5 kg. That low starting weight is welcome when you are still building up focused leg work or when you train with high repetitions. For most users 80 kg is more than enough for adduction and abduction work, because these muscle groups move less weight in an isolated movement than in a squat or a leg press.

What is the maximum user weight?

The maximum user weight is 160 kg. Together with the machine's own weight of 206 kg and the EN 20957-1 and EN 957-2 class S classification, that means it is designed for heavy users and for changing use by several people a day. For a gym or studio with a broad membership that is a relevant margin.

Is this machine suitable for a gym?

Yes, the machine is classified for professional use to EN 20957-1 and EN 957-2 class S and is intended for daily deployment. The heavy steel frame, the double powder coating and the cables rated up to 1500 kg are matched to intensive use. It is equally at home in a personal training studio or a well equipped home gym, provided you have the space.

Can I adjust the machine to my build?

The force arm adjusts across eight levels in both directions of rotation. That determines how far apart or how far inwards your legs sit at the start, so the movement matches your hip width and your current mobility. Set the starting position so that you can perform the whole movement under control without forcing the end of the range.
