Tunturi treadmill accessories

Why choose original Tunturi treadmill accessories?

Tunturi is a Finnish brand that has existed since 1922 and focuses on fitness equipment for home use, while its heavier treadmills are also used in practices. That is exactly where the accessories in this category come into their own. The REHA rails and the step-up platform are designed to make a Tunturi treadmill suitable for rehabilitation, older adults and people with limited mobility, and they are made to measure for the models concerned.

The same applies to maintenance: a running belt has to glide smoothly over the running deck, otherwise the belt and motor wear out faster. The T-Lube deck lubricant comes with a long 40 cm spray tube, so you can apply the lubricant far under the belt and spread it evenly. That is difficult with an ordinary spray can or a short nozzle.

The Tunturi treadmill accessories range

Maintenance

• T-Lube deck lubricant 200 ml: lubricant for the running deck, with a 40 cm long spray tube. Suitable for folding and non-folding treadmills.

Support and safety

• REHA handrails: extra handgrips that you mount on the Performance T60 and the Endurance T80. They give you grip and help you distribute your body weight, which reduces the impact on your knees and ankles.
• REHA rails: continuous rails that run to the end of the treadmill, suitable exclusively for the Endurance T80, T85 and T90. Because they run all the way through, stepping on and off is easier and safer.
• Platinum TR30 step-up platform: lowers the step-up height to just 10 cm, with three locking positions and a non-slip surface. Made of steel.
• Stop button (safety key) for the Go Run series: a replacement safety key that stops the treadmill if you drift too far backwards.

Heart rate

• 5.4 kHz chest strap: for the Tunturi Pure and GO series, so your heart rate appears on the console.

Which Tunturi accessory do you need?

Your treadmill runs stiffly or makes more noise: lubricate the running deck with T-Lube. Check the lubrication roughly once every two months, and more often if you run a lot.

You use your treadmill for rehabilitation or feel unsteady without support: choose the REHA rails that fit your model. The REHA handrails for the T60 and T80, the continuous REHA rails for the T80, T85 and T90.

The step-up of your TR30 is too high: the step-up platform lowers it to 10 cm, so you can step on and off safely and in a controlled way.

Your safety key is lost or broken: get the original stop button for the Go Run series. Never run without a working safety key.

You want to train on heart rate with a Pure or GO treadmill: the 5.4 kHz chest strap sends your heart rate to the console.

What to look for when buying Tunturi treadmill accessories?

Your model

Many accessories only fit certain models. The REHA handrails are for the T60 and T80, the REHA rails for the T80, T85 and T90, the step-up platform for the Platinum TR30, and the stop button for the Go Run series. Check your model on the type plate or in the manual.

Regular maintenance

Lubrication is the most important maintenance you do yourself. A running belt that runs too dry puts more strain on the motor and wears out faster. In addition, have your treadmill checked periodically during maintenance, especially with intensive use.

Rehabilitation and older adults

Rails and a low step-up make a treadmill more accessible, but if you have any complaints, coordinate your training with a physiotherapist. If you are looking for a complete treadmill for a practice, also take a look at the professional treadmills.

Our advice: keep a tube of T-Lube at home, because proper lubrication is the cheapest maintenance there is and keeps your treadmill going for years longer. If you use your treadmill for rehabilitation or for someone with limited mobility, the REHA rails for your model are the purchase that gives the most peace of mind.

Who are Tunturi treadmill accessories suitable for?

• Owners of a Tunturi treadmill: original parts and maintenance products that fit.
• People in rehabilitation and older adults: extra support and a lower step-up.
• Physiotherapists: making a Tunturi treadmill suitable for clients with limited mobility.
• Anyone who trains on heart rate: a chest strap for the Pure and GO series.

Less suitable if your treadmill is from another brand: the rails, the platform and the stop button are made for specific Tunturi models. The deck lubricant can be used more widely, but always follow the maintenance instructions for your own treadmill.

Frequently asked questions about Tunturi treadmill accessories

How often should I lubricate my treadmill?

Check the lubrication roughly once every two months. If you run a lot, or if the belt feels stiff and the treadmill makes more noise, it may need to be done more often. Always follow the instructions in your treadmill's manual.

Why does T-Lube have a long tube?

With the 40 cm spray tube you can also reach the middle of the running deck under the belt. This lets you spread the lubricant evenly, which is almost impossible with a short nozzle.

Which REHA rails fit my treadmill?

The REHA handrails fit the Performance T60 and the Endurance T80. The continuous REHA rails are suitable exclusively for the Endurance T80, T85 and T90. Check your model before you order.

What does the step-up platform for the TR30 do?

The platform lowers the step-up height of the Platinum TR30 to 10 cm. With three locking positions and a non-slip surface you step on and off steadily, which is especially pleasant for older adults, people in rehabilitation and people with limited mobility.

Can I use my treadmill without a safety key?

No, most treadmills will not start without a safety key, and for good reason. The key stops the belt if you drift too far backwards or fall. If you have lost it, order an original replacement for your series.
