The WaterRower's tank is made of transparent polycarbonate. This not only makes the rower look even better, but also makes the tank more durable and resistant to temperature fluctuations. To keep the water in the tank clean, a little maintenance is needed from time to time. Fortunately, this maintenance is minimal: you only need to add one tablet to the water tank every 3 months. This keeps the tank free of limescale and any build-up.

Adjust the training intensity by simply changing the water level

The integrated water tank lets you adjust the amount of water yourself. Just starting out with training? Then a lighter rowing setting will be preferable. Or perhaps you are already an advanced athlete? Then you can add more water to the tank for an extra challenging workout.

Maintenance tips from WaterRower for the rowing machine

To keep the WaterRower, just like yourself, in top condition, the rower needs a little maintenance from time to time.

Check the water in the tank regularly

You can fill the tank with ordinary tap water. The active substances in the water slowly disappear under the influence of UV radiation, which is why it is important to prevent algae growth. So add one chlorine tablet to the water every 3 months. You can also choose to replace the water every 3 months, but this is a bit more work than a chlorine tablet. Never use pure chlorine (bleach), as this can damage the tank beyond repair!

The tank is essentially maintenance-free. Should algae growth occur anyway (for example because no chlorine tablets were added), you can rinse the tank with warm water and a little vinegar.

Keep the rowing machine free of dust

It is important to keep the clutch and belts as dust-free as possible. You can (carefully) use your vacuum cleaner for this. It is also important to keep the surface of the rails free of dust to prevent damage to the wheels. You can use a damp cloth for this.
