Hammer Strength was founded 25 years ago by Gary Jones, combining natural movement and free weight intensity with machine safety. After years of research with doctors and athletes, the first models were built. Within 8 years, Hammer Strength became market leader. Life Fitness acquired the brand in 1997, enabling expansion through the MTS and HD Elite lines. The brand continues to grow today.

Standards
Being a market leader for 25 years is no small feat. Hammer Strength leads not only in durable strength equipment, but also in innovation.
Key breakthroughs include:
Isolateral Technology – Biomechanically sound plate-loaded, Ground Base, and MTS equipment revolutionized strength training with natural movement patterns.
Ground Base – Builds on isolateral design, allowing users to train with their feet on the ground for better full-body coordination and stabilization.
HD Elite – Small group strength training was transformed by this heavy-duty rack system. HD Elite remains unmatched for intense training in small groups.
