Front-Drive Elliptical
A front driven cross trainer has the flywheel at the front of the machine. This creates a flat, elliptical movement that closely resembles cross-country skiing. The movement is considerably less strenuous for your knees, hips and back than with a rear driven model, making a front driven cross trainer particularly suitable for athletes who want to train low impact, have joint problems or are recovering from an injury.
Front driven cross trainers are suitable for beginners who want to start comfortably with cardio training and for advanced athletes who want to train intensively with less load on the joints. The main selection criteria are the stride length in relation to your body height, the braking system, the maximum user load and the presence of a training computer. Also note the dimensions: front driven models are generally larger than rear driven variants. Also view our complete range of cross trainers for all types and variants.
